中学英语教师仍可赴英培训
今年暑假期间，市人事局组织中学英语教师赴英国培训。该局昨日表示，今后仍将推行此类项目。
今年暑假，40名中学英语教师赴英国伯明翰市培训一个月。与往年最大的不同是，今年一改由学校、区县教育局推荐的方式，首次采取公开招考的办法进行学员的选拔，完全按照分数排名挑选学员。最后录取的学员中，来自市属、海珠区、黄埔区的中学老师占比例较多，共39名女老师和1名男老师。
据介绍，经费由市政府解决一半，另一半由学员自筹，采用homestay这种在当地英国人家里住宿的方式。教师们通过与英国“家人”的沟通和交流，甚至是矛盾摩擦，来亲身体验英国人的思维方式、行为习惯和家庭生活，并且深入地了解英国文化。教师们反映，homestay让他们学到了很多地道的英语用词用语，比课堂上学的还要实用。
市人事局表示，今后仍将推行此类项目.
